About Me

Welcome!

I'm Kim, or Berly as my friends call me, and I am very happily married to Rich.  Together, we have a beautiful 17 yr old daughter named Mariah.  Both of them are special needs, but high functioning.  Rich is mentally disabled and does a lot of handyman jobs for peole in our area.  Mariah is autistic with ADHD, Developmental Delay, hearing impairment, and anxiety.  She has gone from being "unteachable" according to the schools to being a straight A Senior in high school.  She went from hating school to loving it after 4 years of homeschooling and now wants to work with other children who need to learn to love school.

I have an AA degree in Business Arts with a minor in Early Education.  I am just short my student teaching for my BA in Elementary Education.  We moved to Missouri before I complete that and I chose not to start all over, but instead, to share my knowledge and experience with friends whose children are struggling with school.  I also have online shop with some friends where we sell our crocheted, sewn, embroidered and painted items.

This blog is so that I can share our experiences in homeschooling with other families who are either already homeschooling or are considering homeschooling.

I currently have openings for 5 students.  If you would like help with tutoring your elementary children, if you want to homeschool them but don't have the time or know where to start, please email me at workinggracellc@gmail.com.  I answer all emails within 24 hours and do take students to teach myself.
